Remains of an Early Compound Microscope, with green paper-covered pasteboard tube, turned walnut eyepiece dividing into three threaded sections (upper brass section missing), lacquered brass pillar with slide-fit into U-foot, rackwork focusing, stage with threaded lateral and horizontal movements, mirror on compass joint, and mahogany base with fitted drawer containing a single eyepiece, ht. 15 in. closed, (replaced and missing parts).
