12-inch Pasteboard Ptolemaic Armillary Sphere by Delamarche, with 2 1/2-inch terrestrial globe made up of twelve outlined gores, with cartouche Delamarche No. 12, Rue du Jardinet , orbiting Sun and Moon discs on brass arms, paper-covered rings edged in red representing the Arctic and Antarctic circles, three rings representing the equinoctial or equatorial line and the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn intersected by polar colures labeled with the solstices and equinoxes, full-meridian showing degrees of Arctic and Antarctic elevation, climates according to the month and the hour and the latitudes australe and boréale , horizon band divided by days of the Zodiacal and Gregorian calendars, turned ebonized stand with (replacement) manuscript Meridian circle, and single ring (the other missing) labeled with the names of stars and constellations, their ascension and declination, ht. 19 in., (some small losses, globe missing paper sections from the upper hemisphere, split in base). Old replecement horizon ring, missing two of the support colures and parts of the gores on the Earth, other wear and defets, rings are loose.
