Art Deco Platinum, Emerald and Diamond Brooch, Marcus & Co. , set with a pear-shape fancy-cut emerald, fruther bead-set with baguette and transitional-cut diamonds, approx. total diamond wt. 3.60 cts., three cabochon emerald highlights, wd. 1 3/4 in., signed Marcus & Co. Marcus Central emerald with typical inclusions and "jardin", a little pale and transparent but it is mimicking a green glass vase, and a couple of minor abrasions. Signature is somewhat faint at the bottom of the letters, but nonetheless quite legible. trombone safety possibly added where before there was a "c" safety, (there is a slot where the c might have been", and there are minute traces of solder at base of closure, but it is unclear whether these are leakage from original solder or from the change diamonds pleasant, white and lively, one with dark inclusion
