Six Cased Engraved Award of Merit Medals from the Chauncy Hall School, Boston, 1866 three silver and three gold medals, awarded to David R. Whitney, c. 1842 and William F. Whitney Jr., c. 1864. Including an "Order of Exercises" ceremony pamphlet dated Dec. 28, 1866, with an explaination of the medal award system on the reverse, also a 1866 booklet listing the "Roll of Former Members of Chauncy -Hall School who Served in the Army or Navy of the United States During the Suppression of the Rebellion." Note: Chauncy Hall was a Boston day school for boys founded in 1828 and located on Chauncy Street in Boston.
