George III Mahogany and Parcel-gilt Long Case Clock, last quarter 18th century, dial signed Lamborn, Liverpool, with swan's neck cresting above a gold painted glass frieze and arched door flanked by columnar supports and enclosing a brass and painted dial with two-train movement, date aperture and lunar phases in the arch; mid-case with crossbanded and shaped door flanked by quarter-columns and with a paneled plinth base, ht. 89 in. Glass panels to frieze discolored; paint to lunar phases heavily rubbed and with losses; all gilded surfaces repainted with gold; age typical shrinkage cracks throughout; base with numerous vertical shrinkage cracks; with weights and pendulum.
