Framed Italian "Reticalla" Needlelace Sampler, 17th century, cutwork and needlework lace with blocks of various designs, u. r. edge stitched "Luca," pinned to damask ground, in burl walnut frame, lace sight size 15 1/2 x 11 1/2, frame 20 1/8 x 17 in. Provenance: Bearing labels to back stating the piece is the work of a Countess Mandolin at the convent in Perugia, Italy.
