Chippendale Maple Fan-carved Chest-on-Chest, attributed to John Dunlap, Bedford, New Hampshire, late 18th century, the top section of five thumbmolded drawers, the topmost with faux three-drawer facade centering a carved fan, set into lower section of two drawers, the topmost with faux two-drawer facade, and the lower drawer with faux three-drawer facade centering a carved fan, on short cabriole legs with shaped knee returns ending in arris pad feet on platforms, joined by a scrolled skirt, original brasses, old refinish, (minor imperfections), ht. 77, wd. 38 1/2, dp. 20 in. lacks right rear knee return, shrinkage cracks to sides of lower section.
