Scrimshaw Coconut Shell Ladle and Scoop, 19th century, the ladle with carved ivory terminals on the wooden shaft, one terminal heart-shaped where attached to coconut bowl, the scoop with carved ivory loop handle, (age cracks), lg. 15 1/2, 5 7/8 in. Ladle- Age cracks on top of ivory terminal, 5 in. crack on wooden handle, a few cracks on the lower ivory shaft and a few tight cracks on the coconut shell; scoop- a few very small tight age cracks on the ivory handle.
