Constantin Byzantios (Greek, 1924-2007) Jardin des Tuileries Signed, inscribed and dated "... BYZANTIOS Paris 50" l.r. Oil on paper mounted to canvas, 13 x 16 in. (33.0 x 40.6 cm), framed. Condition: Small restored tear, minor abrasions, canvas deformations, surface grime. There are two tears with lifting (just to paper, tears do not extend through to canvas), one u.l. quadrant and one c.r., each 1 /2 in. in length or less. There is a small restored tear less than an inch in length l.r. quadrant. The paper is toned. Minor abrasion u.c. The work would benefit from a gentle cleaning.
