After Winslow Homer (American, 1836-1910), Hamilton Hamilton, engraver (American, 1847-1928) The Fog Warning, 1887. Signed and identified in the plate. Etching on chine colle, image size 20 1/4 x 31 1/2 in. (51.4 x 79.8 cm), framed. Condition: Foxing, staining, affixed to a stretcher. The work was partially removed from its frame; enough to confirm that the face of the margins in glued to the back of the stretcher. There is a stablized tear to the corner of the margin u.l. THe tear is not visible from the face, but is obscurred beneath white adhesive tape on the verso.
