Mahogany Shelf Clock, Newburyport, c. 1800, with solid fret top, three brass urn finials, arched and glazed hood door over the 7 1/4 in. painted iron dial with Roman numerals and signed Simon Willard , the base section with inlaid hinged door flanked by plain quarter columns, brass carrying handles, ogee feet and eight-day time-only movement with tin-cased weight and 23 in. pendulum, ht. 39 in. Movement and dial are replacements, movement is a circa 1920 banjo movement with modern dial fit up, case with restoration is Newburyport, Massachusetts circa 1800; case restoration includes replacement feet, movement support components and finials are replacements.
