Impressive Pair of George III Silver Convertible Two-light Candelabra, London, 1807, William Burwash and Richard Sibley, makers, with acanthus bypass candle arms, leaf and rocaille sconce and drip pan, sconce and baluster stem with rocaille leaves, rose heads and floral pendants, slightly dished base with double ogee rim, cast with further flower pendants, grotesque masks, and rocaille, full ht. 17 1/2, candlestick ht. 11 1/4 in., approx. 231 troy oz. one with scratch number 3, the other six: one branch with nicked number 2, the other currently stuck in sconce, and not fitting flush with top of candlestick. marks good. one drip pan with small metal tear at rim, the other drip pan with old repair. minor age wear.
