Victorian Silver Plate Jewelry Casket, late 19th century, James W. Tufts, Boston, maker, sarcophagus-shaped, the lid inset with a rectangular beveled glass panel, edge of lid engraved with navettes enclosing hunting dogs, stags, and game birds, sides with leafy scrolls, engraved to front "Bijouterie," with two pendant handles, on lotus feet, satin-lined interior, wd. 6, ht. 4 1/4 in. lid chains need reattaching. age typical darkening to plate. minor bends at feet, age wear/staining to lining.
