Delft Blue and White Tin Glazed Tea Canister, England/Holland, 18th century, octagonal shape with paneled sides of floral designs, inscribed under the base in manganese "Wm Y & JT," ht. 4 7/8 in. Provenance: Property of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard Art Museum, sold to benefit the acquisition fund. A few age typical glaze flakes, one to the shoulder and two near the foot. Areas of light surface wear to the glaze. Top rim may have been slightly ground down. Missing lid.
