Scottish, 19th century. Sixteen volume leather bound and marbled book set, "Tales of My Landlord" (Second Series), by Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) as part of the Waverly Novels, first edition published by Archibald Constable And Company, Edinburgh in 1816-1832. Series complete with all four series with four volumes each. Each book with brown leather binding and corners surrounding classic marbled front and back cover, books roughly the same size (7.6" x 4.9") with the exception of the 3rd Series which are slightly smaller (6.9" x 4.3").
