Attributed to Clement Drew (American, 1806-1889) Ship in a Gale Unsigned. Oil on board, 10 1/2 x 13 1/2 in. (26.6 x 34.3 cm), framed. Condition: Wear and losses to edges, surface grime. Minor paint losses to edges, loss to board in the l.r. corner, surface abrasion u.l. edge and corner, acid burn to the reverse, faintly inscribed "Sh...- Scudd.../ by ... / 1868" on the reverse, faint scattered dots of retouch and/or grime.
