Marguerite Kirmse (American, 1885-1954) The Intruder. Signed "Marguerite Kirmse" in pencil l.r., titled in pencil l.l., identified on a label from Arthur H. Harlow & Co., New York, on the reverse. Etching on paper, plate size 6 5/8 x 4 3/4 in. (16.7 x 12.0 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, scattered fox marks, not examined out of frame. Provenance: From the Estates of Mary Ann and Frederick Lippitt, Providence, Rhode Island. The sheet is toned to the color of a pale latte. There is scattered foxing, visible mostly to the margins. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no other visible condition issues to report.
