Edwardian 14kt Gold, Ruby, and Diamond Mesh Purse, set with a row of cushion-cut rubies, and rose-cut diamonds, 175 dwt, no. 42834, interior inscribed Gladys Hampton, (three diamonds missing). Note: Lots 678 and 678A are from the estate of Lionel Hampton, one of the great musicians of the swing era. Rubies deep red color, minor nicks and abrasions visible under loupe. Rubies on closure with worn facets, one with loss to point.. Missing three diamonds.
