Ludwig Wolpert Sterling Silver Kiddush Cup, New York, 20th century, slender form with text for the blessing over wine, marked "Wolpert, Sterling, 925," ht. 8 1/2 in. Note: Ludwig Wolpert emigrated to Palestine in 1933 and assumed the position of Professor of Metalwork at the New Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts in Jerusalem. In 1938 he exhibited Bauhaus designs at the World's Fair held in New York. In 1956 Wolpert established a workshop at the Jewish Museum in New York, where he remained for 25 years, teaching and designing ceremonial objects.
