Attributed to James Hamilton (American, 1819-1878) Sailing Inscribed "Hamilton" l. l. Oil on canvas, 30 1/2 x 50 1/4 in. (77.5 x 127.6 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, varnish inconsistencies, craquelure, surface grime. The retouch is throughout and includes many areas of previous loss. There are several small losses within the ocean. The work would benefit from cleaning.
