Robert Fletcher Gilder (American, 1856-1940) Rawhide Creek, Wyoming Initialed and dated "R F G 1906" l. l., titled l.r., a label from H.P. Whitmore Fine Arts, Omaha, affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas mounted onto board, 10 3/4 x 7 3/4 in. (27.3 x 19.7 cm), framed. Condition: Board slightly warped, surface grime. The curve to the support is unobtrusive, and the soiling is subtle. There is minor retouch or pigment fluorescence near the lower edge. The title looks to be period, and may be in the artists hand.
