School of Giovanni Battista Pittoni, the Younger (Italian, 1687-1767) Madonna and Child Unsigned, sketches in several media on the reverse. Black chalk and stumping on laid paper with figural watermark, 15 5/8 x 10 7/8 in. (40.3 x 27.5 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Horizontal creases, staining, nicks and tears to edges. There is a horizontal crease through the center, plus other minor creases and handling marks. The work has scattered ink and other staining, more prevalent to the verso. The nicks and tears to the edges are numerous but small.
