Paint-decorated Pine Box, America, early 19th century, rectangular dovetail constructed box with hinged lid with molded edges, the exterior with original black marbled painted surface, (scattered paint wear), ht. 8 1/2, wd. 18 3/4, dp. 8 3/4 in. The back of the box is not painted, paint wear mainly to front edge of lid.
