Pieced Wool "Wagon Wheel" Pattern Quilt, purchased 30 years ago in Euphrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, probably third quarter 19th century, composed of nine squares with zigzag bordered circles made of a variety of woven solid and printed wool fabric strips, on dark green and black grounds, all outlined with wool yarn embroidery, dark green and geometric motif borders, backed with cotton fabric with a brown, white, and rust print, quilted motifs including feathered wreath, chevron with diamond, and diamond rope borders, 84 1/2 x 82 1/2 in. several small unobtrusive holes, some on edges, about 1/2 in. lg., very minor fading, a few scattered losses of embroidery stitches.
