Chippendale Cherry Tilt-top Candlestand, probably Pennsylvania, c. 1760-80, the dished top tilts on a birdcage support, refinished, (minor restoration), ht. 27 1/2, dia. 19 3/4 in. two-board top; dutchmen hold two boards together; section of base between two legs that broke out has now been put back in with woodscrews, screwholes patched with wood putty; some loss to finish on top.
