Red-painted Side Chair, Sweden, early 18th century, with recessed paneled back on block-turned stiles, plank seat and block vase and ring-turned stretchers. Provenance: An eastern Massachusetts Educational Institution. Note: This chair, along with lots 423 and 425, was exhibited at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876.
