Chinese, 20th century, possibly slightly earlier. Pair of matching Chinese export porcelain plates with one thousand (1000) butterfly motif on border with scalloped edge. Center tondo with brightly colored overlapping hand fan motif on white ground. Both unmarked. Diameter 7.3".Provenance: Estate of Mr. Charles Edward Brodnax "Ned" Hansell, Mimosa Hall, Atlanta, Georgia.
