Paint Decorated Drum, America, late 19th century, bentwood sides with maple rims with original surface depicting a spreadwing eagle with an American shield over a larger American Shield, flanked by an American flag, weapons, another flag, and the initials "D. C.B." in a cartouche, with iron, rope, and leather mounts, (drum heads and roping probably replaced, minor wear), ht. 13 1/2, dia. 18 1/2 in.
