Monamy Swaine (British, born c. 1750, Active 1769–93) Two British Naval Harbor Scenes. One signed ""M Swaine" l.r., both with the artist's name identified and "Circa 1770" inscribed on giltwood label below. Oil on panel, one showing a battle with a British naval vessel firing at small vessels, the other showing British naval vessel heading toward a fortress, 7 3/8 x 11 1/4 in., in period molded giltwood frames. Condition: The first with small paint loss l.r.
