Two Tortoiseshell Mounted Articles, late 19th century, comprising a French Renaissance Revival gilt metal lidded snuff box, oval, the lid finely stamped with a scene of Aphrodite triumphantly drawn in a chariot across the sea, wd. 3 1/4, and an escritoir with tortoiseshell covers, front inlaid with rose gold garter and border, back cover with rose gold and silver floral spray, with purple moire lining, and associated tartanware pencil, lg. 5 1/4 in.
