Greek, fourth quarter 20th century. A collection of silver coins issued in 1981 and 1982 in celebration of the 13th Paneuropean games, which were held in Athens, Greece in 1982. Collection comprises of three coins from the 1st set, issued in 1981: 100 drachmas: ancient olympic long jump, 250 drachmas: ancient olympic javelin throw, and 500 drachmas: ancient olympic stadium race; three coins from the 2nd set, issued in 1982: 500 drachmas: 1896 Olympic race, 250 drachmas: 1896 Olympic discus throw, and 100 drachmas: 1896 Olympic high jump; and three coins from the 3rd set, issued in 1982: 500 drachmas: modern race, 250 drachmas: modern shot put, 100 drachmas: modern pole vault. Total approximate weight (including clear cases) 5.56 troy ounces. All coins uncirculated. Coins are presented in a brown ultra suede hinged box with gilt Greek key embellishment on lid, with burgundy molded velvet interior. Inscribed to inside of lid with logo for the '82 Games. Accompanied with 3 Greek certificates of authenticity with serial numbers 013300, 101972, and 010237, which also state these coins as legal tender.
