Omar Ramsden (English, 1873-1939) and Alwyn Carr (English, 1872-1940), English Arts and Crafts Bronze and Silver Figure of a Valkyrie, the standing figure holding a shield and brandishing a spear, wearing breastplate, sword, winged helmet, and billowing cape, on ovoid base impressed "Omar Ramsden et Alymn Carr Me Fecerunt," mounted at base with threaded addition as auto hood ornament, full ht. 13 in. Note: Omar Ramsden was one of Britain's premiere maker's of Arts & Crafts silver and metalwork. In 1898 he began a partnership with Alwyn Carr which lasted until 1918, during which time they produced some of the period's best metalcraft for both private and commercial clients.
