Boxed English Apollo 11 Moon Landing Commemorative Silver Beaker, London, 1969, Prestons Ltd. , makers, numbered 195 of 1500, flaring cylindrical, one side engraved "Man on the Moon" over landing craft, over applied moonscape, over "The Eagle has Landed, 20th July, 1969," the other side with NASA logo, names of Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins, over Apollo 11 medallion, in blue fitted calf case, ht. 5 1/4 in., approx. 9 troy oz. Sold with a copy of letter from dated December 16, 1969 from Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins expressing their thanks for receipt of the first three beakers from Prestons Limited of Bolton, England.
