Framed Shaker Silk and Linen Woven Plaid Textile, 19th century, triangular shaped textile with of woven brown, green, yellow, and white threads in a plaid pattern with the initials "B L" in red stitched on the border, purportedly used at one time for modesty as a nursing scarf, and for dress-up, 42 x 18 1/2 in. , framed. This textile once belonged to Bertha Lindsay, the last eldress of Canterbury Shaker Village.
