Shaker Cherry and Birch Drop-leaf Table, Hancock, Massachusetts or Alfred Maine,c. 1830, the rectangular top with hinged drop leaves which flank the legs with three ring turnings above swelled and tapering legs, the top has old refinish,( minor imperfections), ht. 27 1/4, dp. 16 3/4 extension 30 1/2, wd. 43 in. Provenance: Maria Brooks who said this table was from Alfred, Maine. Literature: the complete book of shaker furniture p.183.
