Penn, William (1644-1718), Signed Document, December 12th, 1705, one page, appointing John Evans the Lieutenant Governor of the Territory of Pennsylvania and affixing the great seal to the document, (folds strengthened on reverse). Note: John Evans, as Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania, was heavily involved in acquiring land during the early 18th century.
