Steuben, General Wilhelm von (1730-1794), Rare Autograph Letter Signed, February 26th, 1780, one page with holograph address panel, to Doctor George Glenworth, discussing the distressed health of a French officer who is apparently not receiving the same provisions as other patients of the Continental Army, "This gentleman has been extremely sick and is now somewhat better and should want at this time some comforts as wine, sugar, tea, chocolate and good fresh meat and bread, these things are granted to the sick in all the Continental Hospitals," (slightly discolored, some chipping and repairs to reverse).
