After Pierre-Jules Mêne (French, 1810-1879), Susse Freres (French, founded 1839) posthumous editions, circa late 19th/ early 20th century, each signed within cast "P. J. Mene" and bearing faint foundry mark for Susse Freres. A pair of authorized reproduction cast bronze sculptures of greyhound dogs in mirrored positions each with left fore arm bent upward and face turned toward the viewer with downswept curling tail and very thin body, each dog to an integral cast bronze ovular base with naturalistic grass to surface, and mounted to a highly veined marble plinth with incurvate lip. Each approximate overall height 8", width 11.125", depth 5.375".
