Ed Dwight (American (Colorado), b. 1933). "Estevan" - 1980, patinated bronze, limited edition 2 of 10, signed dated, titled, and numbered to base. Figural sculpture depicting an African man presented as a conquistador or explorer with tribal torch in one hand while dressed in Spanish colonial wear replete with crucifix at chest, the figure accompanied with two greyhound dogs at his side to a naturalistic base, mounted to a carved and stained shaped wood plinth base. Approximate height 19", width 14.25", depth 14.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Calvin Wayne McLarin, Atlanta, Georgia.
