French, 20th century. A Louis XV style carved walnut duchesse brise, or a chaise lounge in two pieces, comprising a tub form bergere chair with shell carved handgrips to front of padded and upholstered arms and floral crest raised on French cabriole legs with floral carved knees and shaped aprons, with conforming long foot rest with arched chair back to opposing side, the whole covered in natural flax colored linen with fitted cushions. Chair approximate height 36", width across arms 28", depth 28", seat height 18", overall length 68".
