Jorge Hassen Gonzalez (Mexican or Spanish, 20th century-contemporary). "Ciudad Dormida y Soñando" - 2001, papier mâché, signed, titled, dated, and inscribed to verso. Paper mache wall hanging in three-dimensions depicting a vibrant Spanish or Mexican village with bridge at lower center as foreground before many plaster buildings painted in pinks, greens, and blues, interspersed with vibrant green trees under a clouded blue sky, with five angel forms placed throughout the scene. Verso of structure inscribed with artist, title, and medium over a list of collaborators "Oscar Herrera Lopez and Amaury Cruz Tamayo", date of production, and dimensions. Approximate height 34.75", width 36.75", depth 2.25".
