American, circa 1973. Curtis Jere metal wall mounted elm tree sculpture depicting bright leaves in patinated brass on stark branches. Signed and dated on bottom leaf. Approximate height 51", width 17", depth 3.5". Note: Curtis Jere is the brand name for the company Artisan House. The founders of Artisan House, Jerry Fels and his brother-in-law Curtis Freiler, started Artisan House in 1964. The name “Curtis Jere" was created by simply combing their two first names Curtis and Jer.
