GEORGE III STERLING SILVER CRUET FRAME BY PETER, ANN & WM. BATEMAN, LONDON, 1801-02, H 10 1/2":Boat-shaped frame with bombe sides and threaded rim, engraved crest at either side featuring an eagle, vine borders, wood base centered by a handle, raised on four feet; hallmarks include crowned leopard, lion passant, king's profile, date letter F, and maker's mark PB/AB/WB; width of frame 8 1/4" x 5 3/4". Fitted with four matching cut glass bottles with sterling silver tops (one bottle is replaced but of the period), H.5"-6".
