English, 19th century. An English canterbury, sheet music holder, or magazine rack with rosewood veneers, the rectangular top rail with striking rosewood veneers and inlaid lightwood stringing, over three rows of storage for magazines or sheet music separated by two cylindrical rails resting on turned ring and baluster spindles with four large corner spindles with urn finials surmounting the top rail, over a plinth support with impressive rosewood grain, all raised on four compressed baluster turned legs on bone casters. Approximate height 21", width 22", depth 15.75".
