VICTORIAN BURL WALNUT ROLL-TOP DESK, C. 1870, H 40", L 33", D 20":Cylinder roll top over long drawer and cabinet base. Brass hardware. Belonged to grandmother of consignor. Originally was a secretary. A shelf from bookcase top has been used as top of desk. Cylinder mechanism works well and has open envelope slots as well as one maple faced small drawer.
