VIENNESE SILVER-GILT & ENAMEL BOX FITTED WITH A CLOCK, MAKER 'S. C.', C. 1870, H 1 1/4", L 3 3/4":Rectangular box with canted corners and hinged lid, painted at the center with a satyr before the goddess Diana, a clock fitted within, and Diana and Pan painted at the underside, the whole bordered in bright blue with applied gold stars, various scrolls and masks adorn all sides. Marked at the interior rim with an elongated hexagon (unidentified) over-stamped with an enclosed A (Vienna), and maker "S.C." (possibly G).
