ABRAHAM LINCOLN PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE & TWO CIVIL WAR PERIOD ENVELOPES, LATE 19TH CENTURY, 4 PCS. :From the collection of Lewis Capen. Including one photograph of Abraham Lincoln (2" x 3 1/2"); with "Gurney & Son Photo N.Y." along the bottom of the front and "Photographic Artists J. Gurney & Son 707 Broadway N.Y." on the reverse, one signature of Abraham Lincoln. Also included are two civil war era envelopes; one with a flag in the upper left corner, of a palm tree and a crescent moon, with a banner that reads "Southern Independence" above the flag, and "WE WILL DEFEND IT WITH OUR LIVES AND FORTUENS" beneath the flag, the other with a flag design on the cover consisting of two wide red stripes and one wide white strip in the middle, a blue square (2 1/2" x 2 1/2") in the upper left corner and a circle of seven white five point stars pressed into the center of the blue field.
