HOPI INDIAN HAND FORMED POTTERY TILE, 1959, 1, H 5 3/4"SQ:native dancer, 5 3/4" Square; WHITE BEAR - An authority on Hopi Religion, White Bear ( Kucha-Honnowa ) has spent his entire life furthering the development of Indian Arts. Recently he was commissioned to complete the Goldwater Collection of Kachina art and reproduce it in water colors for publication in book form. The July 1959 issue of the Arizona Highways Magazine featured his illustrations of the Hopi "Home Dance" OR Niman Ceremony. This tile was hand formed and decorated by an Indian artist at the Mc Kusick- Gila Pottery, Globe, Arizona, and is a signed White Bear reproduction. Hopi Indian Native American Tile. Condition; Has a Cork backing with attached History and story. - Good Condition. Total Lot of (1) total.
