A pair of oil on canvas Italian ruin scenes in the classical tradition comprising of a figural group set beneath a ruined arch beside a set of ruined Corinthian columns and the remnant of a marble sculpture of a standing male, surrounded by trees and beneath a clouded blue sky; and a scene of a single figure standing amidst various ancient ruins, , including a wall remnant with Ionic columns with intact figural scene in relief on the stereobate, and a large urn, set under cloudy blue skies.
