FRENCH BISQUE HEAD DOLL, C. 1890, L 15":The bisque head having blue paperweight fixed eyes, molded ears, an open mouth revealing teeth, dimpled chin, and hand-painted features, incised "2/0" at the back of her neck (unidentified, see photo), on a papier mache body hinged at the shoulders and hips, dressed in original period costume including a silk dress trimmed in black velvet and white lace, fishnet stockings and black leather shoes. From the estate of Yvette Vinot, Lyon, France.
